The Walter Reed Health Care System provides comprehensive health care for more than
150,000 soldiers, other service members, family members and retirees in the National
Capital Area. Its hub is Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the clinical center of gravity
of American military medicine.
Walter Reed participates in the Capital Consortium Radiation Oncology Residency Program. Residents work on a rotating basis at Walter Reed, the National Cancer Institute, and the National Naval Medical Center.
Walter Reed's Radiation Oncology department uses their TELESYNERGY® system to allow residents in this program to discuss patient cases with other resident program participants at NCI and the Naval Hospital.
